Hello and welcome to the website of Johnny Wale,the site which introduces you to one of the south of England's leading singer/songwriters.

Johnny was born in London, England during the Swinging Sixties.He was brought up in a musical family, where his father was a Jazz Drummer  and Pianist.
       Both his parents had a love of British Beat including The Beatles, The  Hollies, and The Dave Clark Five.
       Johnny inherited this 60's passion and was always very keen on becoming a drummer like his father. However although becoming a drummer, with no tuition "Like Keith Moon" as Johnny calls it, his main instrument is Guitar.
       After writing his first song 'Every Single Minute', he formed the duo 'OPAQUE' with his friend and singer Kurt Bainbridge.
       As a duo, Johnny and Kurt gigged locally, notably Hamble Aero Club and other venues and were featured on South City FM's 'In Session' twice.
                 Johnny's first tv appearance was on Southampton TV in 2003, where he sung the Acoustic "Levellers" soundalike 'Oh Mystery'.

In 2004 he set up The Cellar Studio in Northam, Southampton.(See photo's).
         Johnny enjoys playing live venues, with an acoustic set, usually in the company of his Lead Guitarist Adam Spencer.
         Several publishers have expressed interest in his writing, notably Sleeping Giant and World Domination.

In 2001 Johnny wrote his first song and from then on didn't look back.

He worked closely with Al Cotty at Studio 24 in Romsey, and recorded an album called 'Natural Rhythms'.
